A musical comedy written by women, performed by women, produced by women, Caught in the Act tells the story of Delta, a contemporary burglar who, while fleeing the cops, is suddenly transported into the Roaring Twenties. Serendipitously, she encounters Vera, her 1920s counterpart, and the two team up to steal the famous jewels owned by Ziegfield star Maggie McGraw. Hilarity ensues.

“I guess the best thing to call Caught in the Act, for lack of a better phrase, is an old-fashioned, contemporary feminist backstage musical comedy fantasy melodrama. And that’s not the half of it. . . . a zany streak of entertainment . . . constantly amazing show.”
Richard Christiansen, The Chicago Tribune
